Linking Physical & Social Regeneration
The physical infrastructure that will be implemented through our regeneration proposal will benefit the community of Silvertown and wider neighbourhoods socially. Each physical feature (land use) and project across the site will link to the social regeneration of the area and its socio-economic and cultural aspects.
How does it relate to the vision and initial ideas?
Our physical regeneration proposals will contribute to a more vibrant social atmosphere and deliver the foundations required to create the expectations of a resilient, central and thriving cultural hub and follow the 1st theme of the vision: 'a well-connected cultural hub'.
The physical and social regeneration benefits are very closely tied in with our proposed design actions and the phasing of the development scheme. Physical elements need to be implemented at the correct time during construction in order for the site to reap social regenerative benefits and successfully achieve in delivering the vision.
The socio-economic data collected and analysed previously has been used to develop the ideas for physical regeneration so that the social regeneration results are more accurate and target specific needs of the community in order to contribute to making the whole site successful.
